Water Scale

About
Water Scale is a device that allows consumers to look up the amount of water needed to produce each item in their shopping cart. Mimicking the look and feel of the fruit-and-vegetable scales common to every supermarket, the device presents reliable data in an accessible way – allowing shoppers to make informed decisions about the products that they purchase. As well as presenting information on-screen the scale also produces a sticker for each purchased product, allowing users to bring the information home with them and consider their choices ahead of their next shop.

Louis Bruno Bindernagel
University of the Arts Berlin (UdK – Berlin)
Louis Bindernagel is a young product designer based in Berlin. He is finishing his education at the University of Arts in Berlin, but currently also works for Precious Plastic by Dave Hakkens. His work focuses on sustainable topics often taking in consideration social aspects. In 2019 he founded the design studio BRUNOWINDT.
