Water as a Factor that Defines Space

Project Overview
About
Water takes a special place in landscapes. Whether in the form of a river, sea, artificial basin or lake, it defines, connects and divides other elements. It is a dynamic, unstable, and not entirely predictable element, which makes it at once very valuable and challenging. The project looks at architectural solutions for this boundary area, or as it is termed here ‘Blue Space’, and its social and environmental role. Blue Spaces are habitats for various species of flora and fauna whilst creating living spaces and recreational opportunities for humans that can positively affect mental and physical health.
