Wasserläufer

Wasserläufer

About

Wasserläufer (‘water strider’) is a quick and easily inflatable boat for nature lovers. It is designed to be easier to fill with air than conventional inflatable boats, requiring no pump and thus reducing the weight that a traveller must carry. To inflate, the user simply waves Wasserläufer from side to side, capturing air in the boat’s specially designed air chambers. Once full, the chambers are sealed with a sheet of lightweight fabric. When empty, the boat can be rolled into a cylinder the size of a 1.5 litre water bottle weighing just over one kilogram.
