About
HERO (Hand Exoskeleton for Rehabilitation Objectives) is an affordable robotic device designed to assist in the rehabilitation of stroke patients. Physical therapy associated with robotic devices is becoming a promising tool for post-stroke rehabilitation, an important factor given that there has been a dramatic increase in the incidence of this disease over the past few years. HERO is a lightweight, comfortable device which has been shown to have 91.5% accuracy and whilst being used in hospitals and clinical settings could also be used in the home, thereby speeding up the rehabilitation process.
