FlowIO Platform is a pioneering development tool designed for actuation, sensing, and control in soft robotics and programmable materials. Ali Shtarbanov is a Bulgarian-American interdisciplinary system architect, HCI researcher, and electrical engineer who is currently a PhD student at MIT Media Lab. Ali has co‑authored 14 publications on topics related to Interactive Interfaces, Haptic feedback, Development Platforms, Assistive technology, Human‑Robot Interaction, and Wearable technology. His works have won multiple design, research, and engineering awards and grants exceeding $100,000 in combined value and have been featured in numerous news articles and magazines including BBC Science Focus, Tech Briefs, Fast Company, and Hackster.

Hye Jun Youn

Harvard University

Hye Jun Youn is a designer, material science researcher, and artist. She is researching at Harvard GSD’s Material Processes and Systems Group (MaP+S) Lab and Harvard SEAS’s Material Science Lab. Her research includes the design, fabrication, and functionality of novel materials for creative use in industrial, engineering, and architectural applications, and in products accessible to artists, designers, and casual users. Hye Jun has won multiple design awards for her works, and she has also been featured in Forbes 30 under 30.
