WANIRED

WANIRED is a membrane-free electrochemical reactor that reduces nitrates from wastewater into fertiliser-grade ammonia, helping to mitigate both eutrophication and the environmental toll of conventional ammonia production. Designed for decentralised deployment, including in remote or off-grid areas, it uses low-cost, precious-metal-free electrodes and integrates with renewable energy systems. Its continuous flow-through design enables scalable, carbon-free ammonia recovery while treating agricultural run-off, offering a dual solution for water pollution and sustainable fertiliser production
