About

The Uninterruptible Surgical Lamp, designed specifically for low and middle income countries, provides affordable and reliable surgical theatre lighting. Costing less than 20% of traditional surgical lighting solutions, this innovative lamp combats electricity unreliability in remote areas with its adaptable power supply that operates using any 12V car battery. Prioritising the use of easily accessible and standardised parts, the design ensures both repairability and reduced costs. A sophisticated microcontroller system adjusts charging, while monitoring battery health and safety, representing a significant leap in low-cost medical device innovations.
