Enhanced Miners’ Protective Equipment

Mining remains a highly dangerous occupation. Based on extensive field research on the experiences, fears, and desires of Chinese miners, Enhanced Miners’ Protective Equipment proposes a carbon fibre reinforced structure to helmets to enhance impact resistance and shockproof foam to cushion against impact. Integrated radio communication equipment, lamp and goggles allow for easier storage and wear, a dust towel lining protects against ash and debris, while an enhanced ventilation mask provides improved comfort and performance.
