Duo is an EFTPOS (electronic funds transfer at point of sale) terminal device that provides multisensory feedback with improved security and privacy. With a rotatable display that incorporates a smart user experience design, Duo aims to meet the varying needs of merchants and consumers. With improved touchscreen controls and information privacy both the consumer and the merchant can be assured of the transaction security and feel in control of the payment process.

Ahsen Gülsen is a young industrial designer graduated from Middle East Technical University’s Department of Industrial Design in 2015 by successfully realising her bachelor thesis project DUO in collaboration with Futero Design. She recently joined Philips Design Innovation Team in Eindhoven Netherlands, after compleating the first year of her master education in Advanced Product Design Programme, Umeå Institute of Design, Sweden.
