Project Overview

About

People with special needs in the Southern part of Jordan are often neglected, with very limited accessibility. Bana is an enabling environment for people with Down Syndrome. Designed to have an inclusive approach to the built environment that enables and provokes the senses to help visitors develop their sensory skills while maintaining their sense of dignity.

I have studied Architecture for my bachelor's in the German Jordanian University in Jordan and now doing my Project Management master's degree in GISMA Business School. I believe that Architecture and anything we learn should be implemented for the greater good, to be able to provide, help those in need and solve any problems our world and communities may face. My project - a Down Syndrome learning and rehab center - was designed after thorough research and observation on Down Syndrome. By implementing the inclusive design theory, learning from them, and thus providing and contributing to their needs.
